Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CAINIX is intended to handle tester information during private beta Studio access.

Private Beta legal notice: These pages describe intended practices during private beta testing. They are not a guarantee of full legal compliance in every jurisdiction and may be updated as CAINIX evolves.

Private Beta Context

CAINIX is in private beta testing for invited Studio testers. This Privacy Policy describes intended practices during that testing phase and may evolve as accounts, billing, and production features are added.

Information You Provide

CAINIX may allow testers to provide manuscripts, project details, prompts, images, and production notes when using Studio tools.

Project Content and Ownership

You retain ownership of manuscripts and original content you upload. CAINIX does not claim ownership of your manuscripts. You grant CAINIX a limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process content only for the workflow steps you request.

Browser Storage

CAINIX Studio uses browser storage for local workflow progress, beta acceptance, and in-browser project state during testing. See the Cookie / Browser Storage notice for more detail.

Local and Server-Side Processing

Some features run locally in the browser, while AI-assisted features require secure server-side processing. API keys and sensitive credentials are kept server-side and are not exposed in client-side code.

Third-Party Services

CAINIX uses OpenAI to analyze manuscript text and generate images and video you request, and uses Vercel, Neon, and Upstash for hosting, database, and rate-limiting infrastructure. See the Subprocessor List for what each provider does and what data it can see.

International Data Transfers

OpenAI is a US company. Sending manuscript text or generation requests to OpenAI involves a transfer of data outside the EEA, covered by OpenAI's own Data Processing Addendum, which incorporates EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a transfer safeguard. CAINIX's database itself runs in the EU (Frankfurt).

No Model Training or Retention of Your Manuscripts

CAINIX does not use your manuscripts or other uploaded content to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, and does not add your content to any dataset. Requests to our AI provider also explicitly disable that provider's own storage of the content (the API's "store" parameter is set to false), so it isn't kept in the provider's own logs beyond serving your request either. See the AI Output Policy for more detail.

Analytics and Marketing Cookies

CAINIX does not currently use non-essential analytics or marketing cookies unless explicitly implemented and disclosed later.

AI Outputs

CAINIX uses AI-assisted tools. Outputs require human review and may not automatically be copyrightable.

Contact and Data Rights

For privacy questions or data-rights requests, use the contact page or the data-rights page.
