Subprocessor List

CAINIX uses a small number of infrastructure and AI providers to operate Studio. This page names the providers that process your manuscript content, generated assets, or account data, what each one is used for, and where that processing happens. CAINIX will add or replace a subprocessor here before relying on it for a new purpose.

OpenAI processes manuscript text you submit for analysis (Senior Story Director, Character Census, screenplay adaptation) and generates images and video clips you request, acting as a subprocessor for CAINIX. OpenAI is a US company; this involves a transfer of data outside the EEA. OpenAI's own Data Processing Addendum governs this processing and incorporates EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a transfer safeguard. CAINIX does not send manuscript text to OpenAI for anything other than the specific analysis or generation step you request, and does not use OpenAI to train any model of its own. CAINIX also sets OpenAI's API "store" parameter to false on these requests, which disables OpenAI's own default retention of the request/response content (normally kept for a limited window for abuse monitoring) — confirmed directly against a live test call and OpenAI's own API documentation, 11.09.2026.

Vercel hosts the CAINIX application and stores uploaded and generated images/video as private files (not publicly accessible; served only through short-lived signed links after an ownership check).

Neon hosts the Postgres database that stores project structure, AI-derived analysis results, and account data. CAINIX's database runs in the EU (Frankfurt). Sensitive creative fields are encrypted before they reach the database.

Upstash provides the Redis store CAINIX uses to enforce per-user usage limits. It holds only request counters (e.g., how many AI calls a user made in the last hour), never manuscript content or generated assets.

During private beta, CAINIX's testers are individual creators, not businesses passing through their own end customers' data — so this page currently covers the CAINIX-to-provider relationship only. If CAINIX takes on business customers who need their own Data Processing Agreement with CAINIX naming these same subprocessors, that will be provided separately and this page will be referenced from it.

This is a private beta list and may change as CAINIX adds features or providers. Material changes will be reflected here; see the Privacy Policy for how this fits into CAINIX's overall data handling.
